Author, publisher & activist:
Dimitri Roussopoulos
Well-known activist and publisher with Black Rose Books, Dimitri Roussopoulos is the initiator of the Montreal Charter of Rights and a founder of the Montreal Urban Ecology Centre and the Institute of Policy Alternatives Montreal (IPAM). He is the author of Political Ecology - Beyond Environmentalism (2015). He was in Paris during COP21 as an invited speaker with the UCLG, a global federation of cities, and participated in various convergences of social movements. He will be able to give us a summary and analysis of what took place in Paris and explain the preoccupation of social movements as summed up by the chant: «System change, not climate change.»
His talk will be followed by a period of discussion & exchange
